Nelson South sent a team of 14 swimmers to Blenheim to compete at the SICT. They did the club proud, coming away with pb's all round and a swag of ribbons!
Coach Tim Loach said "I couldn't have asked for more of these young swimmers. We had 14 swimmers and every one of them pb'd! This is what you hope for as a coach - that the training pays off and every swimmer has a good meet. Overall it was a great weekend with a fantastic bunch of swimmers!"
Cate Barton led the way with ribbons, coming away with four 1st places and two 3rd places. Emma White led the way with pb's with an impressive 9 pb's from 9 swims which included a 2nd place and two 3rd places. Annabel Reburn had a strong meet with 6 pb's from 8 swims along with three 2nd places and one 3rd place ribbon. Joe Banner recorded 4/6 pb's which include two 3rd places and Angelina Johnston rounded out the podium finishes with a 3rd place as well as 8 pb's from 12 swims.
Pb of the meet went to Caitlyn Huhu who took 16.27 seconds off her 200m free time followed very closely by Nic Hall who knocked off 16.19 seconds from his 200m back time.
