2015 Working Bee
- 25 September 2015
- Fiona Lulham
A glorious day set the scene for the annual working bee at Hampden Street Pool on Sunday 20 September. A good turnout ensured all the work was done and the complex is now ready for the summer season. Both pools were painted this year and are now looking fantastic, along with the pool surrounds which were also given a spruce up. Underneath the clubrooms was also tidied - who knew there was a lawn-mower under there? - and is now clear of rubbish :-)
The pools will be filled then heated, and the club is set to start summer training on Monday 12 October (first day of Term 4). Pattison Swim School will start their season on Monday 26 October and the pools will open to the public on Tuesday 27 October.
Many thanks to all our parents and swimmers who came down to help, and thanks also to the team from Pattison Swim School :-)
We'd also like to acknowledge the generou support we've received from the Mainland Foundation this year whose donation contributed to the costs of the working bee. And a shout out to George and Jill at the Fish Stop in Alton Street for their support too.
