2016 NSSC (not-so) Hot 100's

It was definitely not hot on 29th October when Nelson South hosted the Hot 100's meet at Hampden Street Pool. The day started out fine but as the afternoon rolled around the storm clouds and southerly rolled in to make it a pretty miserable day at the pool.
Despite the conditions there was still some great swimming. Special mentions to Hannah Hobbs who swam 4 pb's from 4 swims and Connor Eden who recorded 3 pb's from 3 swims! Great work from both of you. Not to be outdone by her brother, Caitlin Eden gets a special mention too for biggest pb of the meet with 16.68 seconds off her 100m breast time. Well done Caitlin - and well done to all our swimmers who all toughed it out today. Full results here.
3 new club records were set at the meet too. Oliver Stark set new records for Males 13-14 in the 100m backstroke and 100IM events, and Matai McGuinniety set a new record for Males 15-16 100IM. Club records here.
Thanks to all the parents who helped out with timekeeping, officiating, setting up, packing down, catering and the bbq - all your help is appreciated :-)
