2016 NSSC Young Guns

 

Thankfully the weather for our Young Guns meet on 19th November was dramatically different from 3 weeks ago at the Hot 100's.  The sun was shining, the umbrellas were out and we had 104 swimmers from around the region at the pool over the 2 sessions.  Long distance events were swum in the morning, with the shorter distances (200m down) in the afternoon.

Nelson South was represented by a team of 28 swimmers who did the club proud.  26 of the 28 swimmers recorded at least 1 pb at the meet which is a fantastic effort.  Special mentions to Sophia Molnar who swam 5 pb's from 5 events making it a great afternoon in the pool for her.  Josh Sheridan swam 4 pb's from swims and Zara Aydon and Mia Langley both had a 100% strike rate with 3 pb's from 3 swims.  PB of the meet goes to Nic Hall with a massive 134.22 seconds (that's over 2 minutes!) off his 1500m free time.  Well done Nic!
