2017 Wellington LC Champs
- 12 February 2017
- Fiona Lulham
Wellington LC Champs has become a firm and popular fixture on the NSSC Swim Calendar. This year we sent a team of 15 swimmers over the Strait and once again they didn't disappoint. It was a fabulous weekend of swimming and team spirit!
Highlights from the weekend:
- The resurrection of the Red Rooster
- Team chants/spelling out swimmers names!
- Sitting next to the NZ National team :-)
- End of meet dinner and bus-stop karaoke

A special mention to our senior swimmers - Ruby-Lou, Georgie and Hannah for leading the pool-side cheering and supporting all our swimmers over the whole weekend. Team morale was fantastic and the cheer squad helped to lift our swimmers when it mattered! A rooty-toot, a rooty-toot, a rooty-toot-toot :-)
And lastly, thanks to Mainland Foundation for helping to off-set the accommodation costs of our Wellington Champs team. Your support is very much appreciated.
