Wellington LC Champs has become a firm and popular fixture on the NSSC Swim Calendar.  This year we sent a team of 15 swimmers over the Strait and once again they didn't disappoint.  It was a fabulous weekend of swimming and team spirit!

Highlights from the weekend:

  • The resurrection of the Red Rooster
  • Team chants/spelling out swimmers names!
  • Sitting next to the NZ National team :-)
  • End of meet dinner and bus-stop karaoke

Swim results:

We had a 100% success rate for pb's.  Every swimmer recorded at least 1 pb during the meet, so well done team.  Special congratulations to Lilly Hall who set a new LC SNM record for 10 & under girls in the 100m breast!  Well done Lilly - fantastic swimming :-)

A special mention to our senior swimmers - Ruby-Lou, Georgie and Hannah for leading the pool-side cheering and supporting all our swimmers over the whole weekend.  Team morale was fantastic and the cheer squad helped to lift our swimmers when it mattered!  A rooty-toot, a rooty-toot, a rooty-toot-toot :-)

And lastly, thanks to Mainland Foundation for helping to off-set the accommodation costs of our Wellington Champs team.  Your support is very much appreciated.
