Our Juniors go to Juniors

A week after the SNM Age Group Champs, Finella, Reuben, Rebecca, Ruby-Lou and Skye flew over the Wellington for the 2015 SNZ Junior Championships.  This pinnacle event for 10-12 year olds was held at the Kilbirnie Aquatic Centre 20-22 February.

Coach Tim Loach said "It was a great weekend, and I was very proud of all 5 of our young swimmers who qualified for this event.  They train and compete year-round to strive to qualify for Juniors so it was a great achievement for all of them!  Plus we had a lot of fun too!"

Finella swam an amazing 200m free to finish 4th overall and came 7th in the 100m free whilst Rebecca placed 8th in the 50m breaststroke.  Ruby-Lou and Reuben both swam pb's at the meet, and Skye swam just over her pb's.  All of them enjoyed the experience!  You'll see them poolside proudly wearing their Juniors t-shirts and hoodies :-)
