Club Nights

Throughout the summer season, the Club holds special race nights at Hampden Street Pool for its members called Club Nights.  They are an opportunity for newer members to get used to racing in a more relaxed environment, an opportunity for more experienced club members to help and encourage our newer members, an opportunity for swimmers to try out different events and for parents to practice their timekeeping and poolside cheering!

Club Nights can take the form of:

  • Handicap Club Nights where swimmers are handicapped based on their best time (so swimmers may not all start at the same time). There is a trophy awarded at Prizegiving for the swimmer who accumulates the most points at our handicap carnivals.
  • A fully officiated Club Night where a full compliment of officials are present at the meet, so the times are official and Club Records may be broken.
  • Fun nights like our famous Xmas Cracker Club Night - where its all about participation, team-work, having fun and dressing up :-)

Information fliers will be placed on the Club's website in the Calendar and emailed to all Club members.  All swimmers are encouraged to enter and compete.

Usually the BBQ is cranked up for a sausage sizzle and the event is fun and sociable for swimmers and parents alike.
